The Week 6 SuperContest Card features 12 games with point spreads of seven or less, setting up for some of the most competitive matchups of the 2015 season, according to oddsmakers at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook
In fact, the only two teams favored by more than a touchdown are both unbeaten and just happen to be the Super Bowl favorites – the Green Bay Packers (5-0) and New England Patriots (4-0).
The Packers host the San Diego Chargers (2-3) in Week 6 as 10.5-point favorites on Sunday before the Patriots visit the Indianapolis Colts (3-2) as 7.5-point road chalk in the Sunday Night Football game.
Green Bay is currently the 3/1 favorite to win Super Bowl 50 while defending league champion New England is right behind at 7/2.
Eight Games Have Lines of 4 Points or Less
Eight of the games on the SuperContest Card also have NFL lines of four points or less, including the Week 6 Thursday Night Football matchup between the undefeated Atlanta Falcons (5-0) and New Orleans Saints (1-4).
The Falcons are 3.5-point road favorites and have lost seven of the past nine meetings with the Saints on the road. New Orleans is also 5-2 against the spread in its last seven games as a home underdog and snapped a six-game losing streak at the Superdome with a 26-20 overtime win against the Dallas Cowboys both straight-up and ATS in the Week 4 Sunday Night Football game.
Other games with favorites of -4 or less include (favored team listed first) the Cincinnati Bengals (5-0) at the Buffalo Bills (3-2), the Minnesota Vikings (2-2) vs. the Kansas City Chiefs (1-4), the Detroit Lions (0-5) vs. the Chicago Bears (2-3), the Arizona Cardinals (4-1) at the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2), the Tennessee Titans (1-3) vs. the Miami Dolphins (1-3) and the Baltimore Ravens (1-4) at the San Francisco 49ers (1-4).
Lions Favored for First Time this Season
In addition, the AFC South matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4) and Houston Texans (1-4) is listed as a Pick’em on the SuperContest Card.
It’s also worth noting that the Lions (-3) are the lone winless team in the league and find themselves as favorites for the first time this season. Detroit is 1-4 ATS, covering the spread in a 13-10 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks as 9.5-point underdogs in Week 4.
