Action Report: Bettors loving Colts moneyline, Over

The AFC Divisional Round matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos will conclude this round of the postseason, and bettors are having their say as kickoff approaches.

The matchup has been billed as Peyton Manning vs. Andrew Luck, as the legendary ex-Colts quarterback squares off against the new kid in town.

Online sports book Pinnacle Sports opened with the Broncos as 7-point home favorites, but that has increased over the past couple of days. The number moved to -7.5, then -8, -8.5, and finally bumping up a full-point to -9.5 earlier Sunday. At that current number, it’s been almost dead-even as far as bet shares are concerned. A spokesperson for the book confirms that 51.4 percent of bettors are on the Colts +9.5.

In moneyline markets, it’s been heavily skewed toward the visitor, as a whopping 79.8 percent of action is backing the Colts.

As for the total, Pinnacle opened at 53 and while that has bounced around since post, it currently sits at 53.5, where a convincing number is backing the Over.

“While the spread shares are close to even, the price on Indy +9.5 has gotten progressively cheaper, opening at -116 with a present price of -102,” a spokesperson from Pinnacle Sports says. “We’ve seen a lot of back-and-forth movement on the totals, but it’s worth noting that despite the large Over BetShare, the price on Over opened at -114 and has since moved to -105, the opposite of what one might expect.”
