Action Report: Mixed action in AFC Championship Game

With the AFC Championship Game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots drawing closer, the action at one online sportsbook is mixed.

Sixty-seven of moneyline support at Pinnacle Sports is Andrew Luck’s squad, while 63 percent of spread bets are backing Tom Brady and company.

“Despite the BetShare skew towards New England, we’ve seen very little in the way of movement on spreads,” said a source from the book. “Indianapolis +7 opened at -106 and is now -110.”

The total, which was sitting at 53.5 early Sunday morning, has been steadily falling all day and was at 51.5 two hours prior to gametime. Sixty-five percent of the public is banking on the game going Over.

“Despite the public lean towards the Over, the market has moved towards the Under, which opened at +108 and is now -105,” said the Pinnacle source. “That suggests sharp money is on the Under in this contest.”
