The Cardinal have dominated the Beavers in recent head-to-head matchups, posting a 5-0 SU and ATS record in the past five meetings. Quarterback Kevin Hogan will be a gametime decision, but if he misses out, it looks like his absence won’t mean much to the line.
“We expect Hogan will play but if not, he doesn’t mean much to the line,” John Lester of BookMaker.eu tells Covers. “We opened a bit inflated due to the Cardinal’s big win at USC last weekend.”
BookMaker opened Stanford as a 15.5-point road favorite, but sharp action has come in forcing line adjustments.
“Took some sharp money on Oregon State so we’re currently dealing -14,” Lester adds. “Around 60 percent of our spread wagers are on the home squad so have a bit of liability with the Beavers. A low-scoring Stanford cover would suit us well.”
