Buffalo Bills

Let’s start off the AFC East preview with the Bills who were one of the most active teams during free agency. The Bills were able to add Rex Ryan to the coaching staff. Ryan, who is an expert defensively, is going to be working with a strong Bills defense. During the off-season, they were also able to acquire big-time players such as RB LeSean McCoy, WR Percy Harvin. These acquisitions are a big plus for Buffalo’s offense making them a big threat in the division.

Oddmakers at Bodog & Bovada currently list the Buffalo Bills as:
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC East: +425
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC Conference: 16/1
Odds to win the 2016 Superbowl : 33/1

Miami Dolphins

Defensively, the Dolphins did a good job by acquiring DT Ndamukong Suh to the lineup. He will be playing aside DE Cameron Wake which will be a power-house duo. Can’t wait to see those two players together this season. Offensively, the management added WR Kenny Still & Greg Jennings. Average pick-ups but can certainly contribute to the offense. In addition to the receiver mix is rookie WR from Louisville, Devante Parker, who was considered in the top 5 WR in this year’s draft.

Oddmakers at Bodog & Bovada currently list the Miami Dolphins as:
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC East: +400
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC Conference: 16/1
Odds to win the 2016 Superbowl : 33/1

New England Patriots

Due to the whole deflate gate scandal, Commissioner Roger Goodell told CNBC on Thursday that his ruling on Tom Brady’s appeal of his four-game suspension is “coming very soon.” according to a report from rotoworld. Despite this situation, the Patriots are still considered the favorite to win the division. During the off- season, the Patriots were inactive for free agency and did not acquire any key players. On draft day, New England picked up DT Malcom Brown from Texas who is expect to contribute defensively as he competes with DT Dominque Easley for that top spot on the depth charts. Disregard the entire scandal; the Patriots are taking over the division once again.

Oddmakers at Bodog & Bovada currently list the New England Patriots as:
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC East: -150
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC Conference: 9/2
Odds to win the 2016 Superbowl : 9/1

New York Jets

With the loss of head Coach Rex Ryan to divisional rivals, the Buffalo Bills, Todd Bowles will be taking over the position. The Jets management staff were able to strengthen their defense and somewhat their offense. Defensively, they made a big move by re-acquiring DB Darelle Revis to a five-year contract worth $70 million. In addition, the Jets drafted DE Leonard Williams from USC. He will play a big role for this defense for the years to come. Offensively, the Jets signed WR Brandon Marshall to the roster. QB Geno Smith is still the starting quarterback, so it is unpredictable on how much Marshall can contribute to the offense. Though, they did also draft QB Bryce Petty from Baylor who is expect to replace Smith. His time will come but not this year unfortunately. Sorry Jets Fans!

Oddmakers at Bodog & Bovada currently list the New York Jets as:
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC East: +750
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC Conference: 22/1
Odds to win the 2016 Superbowl : 50/1
