Baltimore Ravens

Despite losing WR Torey Smith to the 49ers, the Ravens made a big move in this years draft by acquiring WR Breshad Perriman from UCF. Although he is a rookie, their coaching staff says that he is ready to play and has been set in the 2nd receiver slot. OLB Za’Darius Smith was a fourth rounder for the Ravens in this years draft.  Expect him to be a sleeper that will make an impact big defensively. According to several reports, Smith has been very impressive during training camp. He will be competing against Terrell Suggs, Elvis Dumervil & Courtney Upshaw for that spot. The young OLB still has lots to accomplish & prove before being placed as a starter. Hard to judge whether they will win the division with the presences of Steelers and Bengals.

Oddmakers at Bodog & Bovada currently list the Baltimore Ravens as:
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC North: +190
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC Conference: 12/1
Odds to win the 2016 Superbowl : 25/1

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals were inactive during the off-season and did not make major changes in their depth chart. Cincinnati is going into the 2015-16 regular season with practically the same roster. One of their key acquisitions defensively is when they re-acquired DE Michael Johnson from the Buccaneers. Johnson had a downgrading year with the Bucs and hopes to take a complete turnaround from last season. They also drafted a MLB, Paul Dawson from TCU. Dawson was considered in the top 5 linebackers for this year’s draft. Expect him to make an impact defensively for the years to come. Although the Bengals have a fully loaded roster, their division is one of the hardest; they have to compete with the Steelers and the Ravens for that top spot, just imagine.

Oddmakers at Bodog & Bovada currently list the Cincinnati Bengals as:
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC North: +220
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC Conference: 16/1
Odds to win the 2016 Superbowl : 33/1

Cleveland Browns

The Browns were indeed very active during free agency. Offensively, they were able to sign QB Josh McCown (starting QB), WR Dwayne Bowe, WR Brian Hartline including 3rd round RB Duke Johnson from Miami. With Manziel coming out of rehab, expect him to take over this offense midway into the season.  They also acquired QB Terrelle Pryor from Oakland who has switched position and now plays as a wide receiver. Defensively, they drafted a potential DL in Danny Shelton from Washington. Expect him to make an huge impact for this defense. He will play alongside newly acquired 31 year old DL Randy Starks. During the off-season, they were also able to acquire DB Tramon Williams who will play behind Joe Haden. These two corners are expected to be a big threat for receivers this coming season. Considering the level of difficulty in the division, it would be hard to trust the Browns this season.

Oddmakers at Bodog & Bovada currently list the Cleveland Browns as:
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC North: +900
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC Conference: 40/1
Odds to win the 2016 Superbowl : 100/1

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers were also very quiet during the free agency frenzy. Their only “somewhat” major acquisition came when they signed veteran RB DeAngelo Williams to a 2-year contract worth $4million. Pittsburgh also made a big 1st round draft pick selection by acquiring OLB Bud Dupree from Kentucky. Dupree is said to being the next upcoming linebacker that will drive this Steelers defense. He was amazing at the NFL combine, can’t wait to see what he can bring to the table. The Steelers are tied with the Ravens as being the favorite to win the division this year. Pittsburgh won the division last year, in my opinion, id trust them to do it again this year.

Oddmakers at Bodog & Bovada currently list the Pittsburgh Steelers as:
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC North: +190
Odds to win the 2015-16 AFC Conference: 12/1
Odds to win the 2016 Superbowl : 22/1
