ALCS and NLCS Series Prices

Baseball is down to its final four and online sportsbook Bodog has odds for both series. The ALCS kicks off tonight in Kansas City, and even though the Royals have home field advantage, the Blue Jays have been tabbed as -140 favorites to win the seven game series, with the Royals at +120.

The teams played each other seven times this season, with the Jays taking the season series 4-3, however, the Royals hold the advantage when the teams have met in the playoffs, winning the only time they’ve met in the 1985 ALCS.

The Jays have named Marco Estrada as their Game 1 starter. He’ll be followed by David Price in Game 2, Marcus Stroman in Game 3, and R.A. Dickey in Game 4. The Royals will counter with Edinson Volquez in Game 1, Yordano Ventura in Game 2, and Johnny Ceuto in Game 3.

Cubs Favored Over Mets

It may come as a surprise to some that the Mets and Cubs have never met before in the playoffs, but that will change Saturday in New York when the Mets host the Cubs at Citi Field. The Cubs actually won seven more games than the Mets this season, but the Mets have home field advantage due to winning the NL East.

One advantage the Mets don’t have, however, is the fact that they’ve lost all seven of their games to the Cubs this season, and going back to last season, the Cubs have won nine in a row vs the Mets. This was likely taken into account when Bodog named the Cubs as a -145 favorite to win the series, with the Mets at +125.

The Cubs will send Jon Lester and Jake Arrieta to the mound in games one and two, while the Mets have only announced that Matt Harvey will start Game 1.
