AP Top 25: UNC falls out of top 10, Purdue now ranked No. 9

>> More Rankings: Top 25 (and one) | Coaches Poll

The Associated Press has released its Week 6 rankings, and as expected, unbeaten Michigan State remains at the top. Behind MSU, in three of the next four sports, are Big 12 teams: Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa State. One-loss Kentucky is the other team in the top five.

Oklahoma bumps up from No. 7 to No. 3 after beating then-undefeated Villanova. For its loss, by the way, the Wildcats fall from ninth to 12th.

George Washington, ranked No. 21, is a newcomer to the poll. It’s the first time the Colonials have been ranked since the end of the 2005-06 season. Big leap, and deserving.
