Backup Quarterback Week 7 Props

The Dallas Cowboys will start backup Matt Cassel at quarterback when they take on the New York Giants Sunday, something that has become common place. Cassel will be the third different backup quarterback the Cowboys field against the Giants since Tony Romo became the starter in Week 8 of the 2006 season.

The previous two backups to start in Romo’s place were Brad Johnson and Jon Kitna who combined for a 47 percent completion rate with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Cowboys lost both of those games.

Cassel, who was acquired earlier this season from the Buffalo Bills for a seventh round pick, has only started four games over the past two seasons and was benched in favour of E.J. Manuel.

Bodog
has set Cassel’s total for passing yards at 220.5 and his passing touchdowns at 1.5.

Landry Jones To Get His First Career Start

With injuries to both Ben Roethlisberger and Michael Vick, the Pittsburgh Steelers are expecting to start third-stringer Landry Jones at quarterback. Jones, who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, has not made one regular season start in his young career.

Jones looked great in limited exposure in Week 6 when he stepped in for an ailing Vick as the signal caller averaged 14 yards per attempt and completed two touchdown passes.

Bodog
has set Jones’ total for passing yards at 210.5 and his passing touchdowns at 1.5.
