The value of a bet goes up significantly when you bet them to win in regulation because it will lose or cash as soon as a game goes to overtime, assuming you don’t pick the draw option.
I’ve taken the time to break down which teams are the best bets to win in regulation to help you out at the betting window.
It should be a surprise to no one that the Capitals, the best team in the league, are also the best team in regulation. Before their loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, the Caps had earned points in 14 straight games and 12 of those games were won in regulation. If you’d backed them to win within 60 minutes in all of those games, you are likely laughing heading into the Super Bowl and are hoping the Capitals don’t deteriorate with the rest of Washington after the inauguration. With John Carlson looking to make his return after the all-star break, however, that’s probably not going to happen.
