Bettors are fading the Manziel-less Aggies versus South Carolina

The post-Johnny Manziel era begins at Texas A&M
when the Aggies travel to South Carolina to take on the
Gamecocks sans Jadeveon Clowney, as the college football season
kicks off with a big SEC clash Thursday night.

Now Texas A&M will roll with sophomore Kenny Hill behind
center and as double-digit road underdogs, the public is
siding with the more experienced South Carolina squad.

However, there has been some sharp money on the Aggies,
according to Mike Perry of
Sportsbook.ag
.

“On August 2nd, we got wiseguy play on Texas A&M at
+11.5, so we moved South Carolina to the current number of
-10.5,” Perry told Covers. “The majority of our
action is fading Hill and the Aggies as 73 percent of cash
and 69 percent of bets are taking the Gamecocks.”

When it comes to the total, it appears the absence of Clowney
has the number on the rise.

“That is likely one of the reasons that the total has gone
from 57.5 to 61. On Tuesday, got sharp action on Over 58,”
Perry added. “Fifty-nine percent of cash and 68 percent of
bets are taking the over.”
