If you like playing underdogs, the point spread for the Super Bowl has become little more than a decoration.
That’s because the dogs aren’t only covering in Super Bowls lately, they’re winning them outright. The team getting the points has won the Super Bowl outright in five straight seasons and in eight of the last nine years.
No need for the points, it would seem. Skip right to the moneyline for maximum payout.
If moneylines make you queasy, though, the underdog has covered the spread in 13 of the last 16 Super Bowls. You may want to consider that before you place your wager.
In the vid above, I talk about why this may be happening and I give some more info on underdogs in the Super Bowl.
