Blocked punt costs Browns moneyline backers on MNF

US PRESSWIRE

The Monday Night Football clash between the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns was being billed as a snoozefest, but it ended up being a thrilling contest decided by a blocked punt.

The Browns, who opened -150 and closed -260 on the moneyline, lined up for a 51-yard field goal attempt which wouldn’t have covered the spread, but would have cashed for anyone that backed the Browns moneyline.

What happened next, as several tweets pointed out shortly thereafter, was a basically a microcosm of what it’s like being a Browns fan.

Ravens DE Brent Urban blocked the kick attempt while Will Hill returned it 64 yards to the house to seal a Ravens win.

The Browns host the Cincinnati Bengals while the Ravens visit the Miami Dolphins in Week 13.
