Retailers were not the only thing open for business on Black Friday, as the Toronto Blue Jays shocked the baseball world by nabbing Josh Donaldson from the Oakland A’s. The Jays sent a package of four players, highlighted by Brett Lawrie, to Oakland for the power of Donaldson.

“We swapped their odds since it appears Oakland is once again in rebuilding mode,” Mike Jerome of says. “We moved Toronto from 30/1 to 24/1 to win the World Series and from 14/1 to 12/1 to win the AL pennant.” The A’s fell from 24/1 and 12/1 to 14/1 and 30/1 respectively.

Lines quickly dropped for the Jays at The Greek as well, moving from 15/1 to 12/1 to take the pennant.

Donaldson played in 158 games last season with 29 home runs and 98 RBI’s with half of his games in the pitcher friendly Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.
