Oklahoma takes Virginia’s spot as a No. 1 seed


Virginia fell at Miami 64-61 on Monday night, which means the Cavaliers will fall off the top line of the bracket.


Jerry Palm’s projected bracket The top three teams in the ACC have reasonably similar profiles, and keep shuffling around each other. As it stands now, both of these teams are just ahead of North Carolina due to having much higher quality wins.

Oklahoma moves back up to the top line of the bracket to take Virginia’s place. The Sooners have six RPI top 25 wins, a figure only matched by overall No. 1 Kansas. That moves gives the Big 12 two teams on the top line, joining the Big East.
