Bracketology: Upsets on Tuesday cause some shuffling in the bracket

There are going to be weeks like this. Probably several.

There were plenty of upsets on Tuesday, including No. 1 seed Kansas going down at West Virginia, which has caused some shuffling in the bracket.

Also on Tuesday, Maryland was upset at Michigan. The Terrapins had been poised to take the Jayhawks spot on the top line of the bracket. Instead, Maryland drops from a No. 2 seed to a No. 4 seed. The win by the Wolverines puts them in the bracket, taking away a spot from Monmouth.

Miami lost to Virginia, dropping the Hurricanes down to a 3-seed in the current bracket. Virginia is back up to the No. 2 line.

Iowa State lost again, this time at Texas. The Cyclones have dropped out of top four seed territory. Texas hasn’t quite cracked the bracket yet, but the Longhorns are the first team out.

All this, and it’s only Tuesday. Buckle up for a rocky season!
