Georgia Tech officials announced on Monday afternoon that the program will retain coach Brian Gregory for another season.
Gregory has yet to reach an NCAA Tournament with the Yellow Jackets. His team went 12-19 this season; his career record in Atlanta is 55-71 through four seasons.
The school is in a financial bind already with one former coach, Paul Hewitt, who was fired over the weekend from George Mason. Georgia tech still owes Hewitt $3.6 million over the next four years, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Gregory’s current buyout is set at $2.4 million.
