Butler’s live bulldog mascot, Butler Blue III, traveled all the way to Raleigh, North Carolina to root on the team in its NCAA Tournament First round game against Texas Tech. Unfortunately, when one of college basketball’s most beloved canine’s showed up to the door, his entrance was denied.
According to the fine folks here at PNC Arena, Butler Blue III can’t get onto the floor because of NCAA rules, just like anything not in a certified NCAA cup.
Look who’s at the arena, though he can’t go inside. It’s @ButlerBlue3! pic.twitter.com/84mktMwao6

@KyleMiller89 @ButlerBlue3 We would love to have him courtside! Unfortunately, we are under NCAA Tournament protocol.

It’s a shame this has to be the story. Tell me @ButlerBlue2 didn’t add something to Final Fours in ’10 & ’11. https://t.co/SVzbRCG66D
