After getting manhandled by the Golden State Warriors in the first two games of the NBA Finals, the roles were reversed in Game 3 Wednesday with the Cavs slugging the Dubs by 30 points in their 120-90 win. Suffice to say, they easily covered the 1.5-point chalk.
More importantly to bettors, the Cavaliers have now improved to 8-0 straight up and 7-1 against the spread, including seven in a row at Quicken Loans Arena this postseason.
Not only is Cleveland covering the spread at home, in the seven games they have done so it hasn’t even been close, covering by an average of 16.5-points per game.
The only game the Cavs didn’t cover at home, was Game 1 of their series against the Detroit Pistons in the very first game of the playoffs.
So it you be an understatement to call the Cavaliers comfortable at home and that’s just what they are. That being said, the line for Game 4 has opened with the Cavs as slight 2-point home chalk.
Unfortunately, to win the series, the Cavaliers will have at win at least once at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
