CFL Week 7 Trends and Betting Preview

The Saskatchewan Roughriders continue to be the worst wager in the Canadian Football League heading into Week 7 of the season with an 0-6 mark both SU and ATS through their first six outings. Here’s a look at the four CFL betting matchups on tap for Week 7; find game lines and futures at Bodog.

Edmonton at B.C. – August 6

Last 10 Meetings: B.C. 7-3 SU, 6-4 ATS | OU 4-5-1

The Lions will be looking to put an end to their 0-2 SU and ATS skid against the Eskimos this week as the Western clubs hit the gridiron together for the first time this season. B.C. lost and failed to pay out in both of its games against Edmonton last season, with the UNDER paying out for totals bettors in both matchups. The Lions sit at 2-3 both SU and ATS on the season, while the Eskimos are 4-1 both SU and ATS.

Montreal at Ottawa – August 7

Last 10 Meetings: Ottawa 1-3 SU, 1-2-1 ATS | OU 0-4

The UNDER has paid off for totals bettors in each of the first four games between the Alouettes and the RedBlacks, including their first meeting of this season back on June 25 – which Ottawa won 20-16 as an 8-point road underdog on the CFL betting lines. The RedBlacks are 3-2 both SU and ATS through their first five games of the season, while the Alouettes are just behind them in the Eastern standings at 2-3 SU but 3-1-1 ATS.

Saskatchewan at Toronto – August 8

Last 10 Meetings: Toronto 6-4 SU, 6-4 ATS | OU 5-5

The Roughriders are 0-6 SU and ATS so far this season, and they already dropped a 42-40 decision to the Argonauts as a 3-point home favorite on the CFL odds back on July 5. That has the Argos 3-1 both SU and ATS in the last four games between the two teams, with the OVER having gone 5-1 in their six most recent matchups. Toronto is 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS on the season heading into their Week 7 matchup this weekend.

Winnipeg at Hamilton – August 9

Last 10 Meetings: Hamilton 7-3 SU, 6-4 ATS | OU 4-6

The Tiger-Cats sit tied atop the Eastern standings with the RedBlacks and Argonauts at 3-2 SU (and 4-1 ATS) on the season, and they doubled up on the Blue Bombers back on July 2 with a 52-26 victory as a 1-point road underdog at the online sportsbooks. Hamilton is now 5-1 both SU and ATS in its last six games against Winnipeg dating back to 2013, with the Blue Bombers 3-3 SU and 3-2-1 ATS on the season.
