Coaches poll: Michigan State, VCU enter; Louisville slips to 15th

The bigger winner this week in the coaches poll? Michigan State. Sparty’s won four straight and is back in the rankings after a winter hiatus.

Tom Izzo’s team and Shaka Smart’s VCU rams enter the rankings this week.

The biggest fall? Louisville losing Chris Jones dropped the Cards three spots, and Butler’s struggles pushed the Bulldogs four spots down, to No. 23.

But, after a three-week tussle with one voter, Kentucky is now the unanimous No. 1 team in both this poll and the Associated Press’.
