The Florida State Seminoles failed to cover the spread once again in Week 15, but their SU victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the ACC Championship Game was enough for them to clinch a berth in the inaugural College Football Playoff.
Florida State topped Georgia Tech 37-35 as a 4.5-point favorite in the ACC title game to finish the season at 13-0 SU but 3-10 ATS. The College Football Playoff selection committee then gave the Seminoles the No. 3 seed in the four-team postseason field, which puts them into the Rose Bowl.
