College Football Week 3 Betting Trends

The Alabama Crimson Tide are a perfect 29-0 straight up in their last 29 games in the month of September. Alabama will try to pick up another September win at home this Saturday hosting the Mississippi Rebels.

Alabama is a 6.5-point favorite in Tuscaloosa on Saturday according to online sportsbook 5Dimes. Last year, Ole Miss snapped a 10-game losing streak against the Crimson Tide with a 23-17 upset win over Alabama at home. With that win, Mississippi improved to 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games against Alabama.

Buckeyes Massive Favorite Once Again

The Ohio State Buckeyes are once again a massive favorite this week hosting the Northern Illinois Huskies at -34.5. Ohio State is 15-0 SU over its last 15 games and 22-0 SU in its last 22 games against MAC opponents.

But as a favorite of 30 points or higher, Ohio State is just 3-6 ATS over its last nine games and 1-4 ATS over its last five. Northern Illinois is 9-1 ATS in its last 10 games against Big Ten opponents.

With back-to-back Hail Mary winners in the closing moments of their games against Nebraska and Boise State, the BYU Cougars have been getting some attention around the country this season.

The Cougars are a 16-point underdog at BetOnline this Saturday visiting the UCLA Bruins. This will be a tough matchup for BYU as the Cougars are just 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five games against Pac-12 teams. UCLA is 8-1 SU over its last nine games and 6-1 ATS over its last seven.

Razorbacks Looking for Bounceback

Coming off of a loss at home to Toledo last week, the Arkansas Razorbacks will try to bounce back as a 12-point favorite against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Texas Tech is 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six road games in the month of September while Arkansas is just 1-4 ATS in its last five September home games.

Texas A&M is 3-0 SU and ATS in its last three games and 7-1 SU and ATS in its last eight home games in September. The Aggies could make for a reliable favorite at -34 hosting the Nevada Wolf Pack, who are just 1-5 ATS over their last six games.
