College Football Week 6 Expert Picks

The Alabama Crimson Tide are just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games at home. The Crimson Tide host the Arkansas Razorbacks this Saturday afternoon in Alabama.

Arkansas is a 17-point underdog on the road according to online sportsbook 5Dimes. This looks like a good spot to take the points; Alabama had a big emotional win on the road against Georgia last week and could be looking ahead to next week’s road showdown against Texas A&M.

Through Arkansas’ struggles this season, the team has still played well on defense, and it held the Crimson Tide to just 14 points last season.

Navy is the Pick Against Notre Dame

In another potential sandwich-game spot, I like Navy +14.5 at Notre Dame. Notre Dame suffered a tough loss last Saturday night against Clemson and has rival USC coming to town next week. This could be a game that gets less than Notre Dame’s 100% effort, while Navy will have had this game circled since the start of the season as a potential statement game.

The Midshipmen are 5-0 SU and ATS over their last five games.

In the same way that Alabama -17 looks like an overreaction to last week’s blowout, Georgia -3 at TopBet on the road against Tennessee isn’t giving the Bulldogs enough respect.

Tennessee is 1-3 SU and ATS over its last four games and has been unable to protect leads in each of those three losses. Nick Chubb should have a big day against this weak rushing defense and lead Georgia to a win and cover.

Utah Strong Play as home TD chalk

The Cal Bears are 5-0 SU and 3-2 ATS in large part due to the play of junior quarterback Jared Goff. But while Cal’s start has been impressive, it has come against a relatively easy slate of games, and this week the Bears are on the road against the Utah Utes.

Utah has an excellent quarterback of its own in Travis Wilson, a great defense, and has had a bye week to prepare for he Bears. Utah looks like a strong play as a 7-point favorite at home.

Lastly, I’ll lay the big chalk on Baylor -44 at Kansas. Kansas is 0-6 SU and 1-5 ATS over its last six games and has lost its last two games to Baylor by an average margin of 45.5 points.
