With four weeks of NFL action behind us, six teams remain undefeated. The Bengals, Broncos, Panthers, Falcons, and Packers all stand at 4-0, while the 3-0 Patriots are favorites to reach the four win mark this Sunday against the undermanned Cowboys.
If you think that a 4-0 start guarantees a team a spot in the playoffs, you’re not totally right, but you’re close. Since 2007, 21 teams have started 4-0 with 17 of them making the playoffs. Of those 17 teams to make the playoffs, nine of them went at least as far as the Conference Championship game.
With all these undefeated teams still standing, Bodog is offering a prop as to whether all six will make the playoffs with Yes at -300 and No at +200.
Of the remaining undefeated teams, the team with the most difficult path to the playoffs might be the Carolina Panthers whose remaining opponents have a win percentage 55.32%. They’ll likely battle the undefeated Falcons for most of the season for first in the NFC South. The Falcons’ remaining opponents have a combined win percentage of just 44.68%, the lowest among the remaining undefeated teams.
Will all six undefeated teams make the playoffs?
