The Gators men’s basketball team dropped their fourth straight game Saturday at Texas A&M, putting them one game under .500 (12-13) heading into Wednesday’s showdown with Vanderbilt.
If the Gators look to end their losing ways, they will have to do it without junior guard Michael Frazier II, who will remain sidelined due to a high ankle sprain suffered Feb. 7 vs. Kentucky.
Coach Billy Donvan said Monday that Frazier, who has missed the last two games due to the injury, is at least another 7-10 days away from returning.
Donovan added Frazier could be back Feb. 24 at Missouri or Feb. 28 vs. Tennessee, but also indicated he could be out longer. The Gators would have only two games remaining after facing Tennessee.
Even after missing the last two games, Frazier remains the Gators’ top scorer, averaging 13.2 points per game. He also leads the team in 3-point shooting (40.1 percent) and is tied for second in rebounding (4.6 rpg).
