After two exhilarating weekends of NCAA Tournament action, our Final Four has been set with Villanova, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Syracuse earning spots in Houston for next weekend’s festivities.
North Carolina, the only one of the four No. 1 seeds to win in its Elite Eight game, has opened as a heavy favorite (-9.5) against Syracuse in the second of the two Saturday night contests. The Tar Heels won both regular season contests against the Orange, including an 11-point win in the Carrier Dome in Jim Boeheim’s first game back from a nine-game suspension.
After beating Kansas, the No. 1 overall seed, in Saturday night’s South Regional final, Kris Jenkins and Villanova has opened as a slight favorite against Buddy Hield and Oklahoma.
