Dikembe Mutombo’s nephew, Mfiondu Kabengele, got on Twitter on Wednesday to announce his intentions to attend Florida State, picking the Seminoles over Boston College and others. The three-star forward is currently at Don Bosco Prep in Illinois, ranked as a top-10 player in the state and three-star prospect, according to 247Sports.
While Kabengele brings a Hall of Fame lineage, he is just one small piece of what is becoming a very strong 2016 recruiting class for Leonard Hamilton. Five-star forward Jonathan Isaac has already signed his letter of intent, along with four-star guards Trent Forrest and C.J. Walker.
One year after locking in Dwayne Bacon and Malik Beasley, Florida State is back up in the top 10 of the national rankings with another star-studded class.
