Four underdog players who could help you win big on DraftKings this week

USA Today Sports

Everyone loves an underdog – especially when it comes to sports.
DraftKings players are no different; with a handful of daily fantasy contests this weekend expected to draw tens of thousands of players, every participant goes in with a 20 percent shot at cashing in a huge contest. But with a little research – the right contest – you could earn a share of huge cash.
Here are three ways to win on DraftKings this week and below we’ll give you four players from the underdog teams to look at this week that could help you win:

• The Giant 50/50 contest: All you need to do is finish in the top half of participants in this contest to cash!  Great for people who are confident they are above-average.
• Compete for $1,000,000:  For high-rollers, or those who dare to dream big
• $700,000 in prizes with just $20 to enter:  The best shot at an enormous payday.  Just $20 to enter makes the risk minimal.

Here are the four key players to watch on the underdog side of the football this weekend:
QB Tony Romo, DAL (@ GB, $7,600): Bet against Romo at your peril; the veteran quarterback has recorded 18.96 daily fantasy points or more in five straight weeks, throwing 14 touchdown passes against just one interception in that span. The Packers allowed the 10th-fewest passing yards in the regular season but gave up 26 touchdown passes – and could be in tough to contain a potent Dallas defense, even at frigid Lambeau.
RB Jonathan Stewart, CAR (@ SEA, $4,800): This game is expected to be a low-scoring affair, with plenty of carries for Stewart and Seattle counterpart Marshawn Lynch. Stewart erupted for 123 yards and a touchdown last week against the Arizona Cardinals, and is far and away the Panthers’ best rushing option next to QB Cam Newton. Seattle defends the run well, but Stewart should get enough work to justify his pricetag.
WR Steve Smith, BAL (@ NE, $5,800): Smith snacked on the Pittsburgh secondary in last week’s wild-card win, racking up 101 yards on five catches. Next up: a Patriots secondary that ranked in the middle of the pack in receiving yards against during the regular season while yielding 24 TDs through the air. QB Joe Flacco will need to throw a lot to keep up with the Patriots, and Smith should be the biggest beneficiary.
TE Coby Fleener, IND (@ DEN, $4,600): The Colts will likely use a tight-end-by-committee approach against the host Broncos, but Fleener is clearly the most talented of the group. This should be a high-scoring affair, which will mean plenty of targets to go around. Quarterback Andrew Luck has shown confidence in Fleener before, and won’t hesitate to lean on him again if Indianapolis finds itself playing from behind.
