“It’s easy,” he said. “A lot of people are going with Seattle. The casinos aren’t stupid. Sometimes it comes back to the other team. A lot of Super Bowls are like that – the other team wins.”

Pestana keeps his bet simple. He finds the hundreds of prop bets just a little too overwhelming.
“I don’t even know what to do with prop bets. I ask my friends about it, and I still don’t get it,” said Pestana, who staked out seats with his wife Bella and good friend Moku Roback at 7:30 a.m. “So I just took the Patriots and the over. Sixty dollars to make $216.”
