It’s currently unknown when the most important player on Kentucky’s basketball team will return for action.
UK starting sophomore point guard Tyler Ulis was injured in the first half of No. 1 Kentucky’s 84-63 win against South Florida on Friday.
Ulis was reaching for the ball in a scrum when he was apparently hit by an opposing player’s elbow amid the chaos. He came up clutching his right arm; Kentucky is calling Ulis’ injury a hyperextended right elbow. UK said Ulis’ status for now is “day to day.”
Wildcats freshman Jamal Murray led his team with 21 points. Fellow first-year stud Skal Labissiere put up 17. Kentucky has beaten 39 consecutive unranked foes.
