League of Legends Quarterfinals Preview

Origen will look to slow down the aggressive Flash Wolves in the first game of the League of Legend Quarterfinals on Thursday. OG is currently favored to win at -230 according to Bodog, which would mean they will dictate the pace of play.

OG excels when they are able to slow the pace of the game down and keep champion confrontations to a minimum. In their past two wins Origen has only had a combined average of 19 champion deaths for both teams, but in their past two losses that number jumps to 35.

Flash Wolves is the exact opposite as they are best when playing an aggressive, fight-drive game. Specifically, AD Carry NL who has the top fight participation in the tournament thus far.

SKT Rightfully Favored Over ahq

There is no doubt that SKTelecom T1 has been the most dominant team at the championships. SK1 is the only undefeated team heading into the knockout rounds and are rightfully listed as a massive -2500 over ahq e-Sports Club according to Bodog.

SK1 has two of the top three players for KDA in the tournament, with AD Carry Bang sporting an absurd 71.0 with a crazy 27/1/44 split in the tournament so far.

Edward Gaming Limps Into the Knockout Stages

After opening the Group Stages 4-0, Edward gaming has stumbled to finish 4-2 heading into the knockout rounds. EG is currently listed as the smallest favorite of the Quarterfinals when they face Fnatic Gaming Saturday according to Bodog.

In EG’s defense they ended the group stage against powerhouse SKTelecom who finished the knockout rounds a perfect 6-0. Those two games saw EG dominated by SK, especially in the top lane where AmazingJ got dismantled with KDA’s of 0.75 and 0.40.

Fnatic’s gameplan has gone through Febiven so far in the tournament with the midlaner tallying the second best CS per minute in the tournament. Febiven has preferred Viktor for a champions choice with a 9.0 KDA in two selections this tournament.

KOO Tigers Coming Into Knockout Stages Red-Hot

The KOO Tigers are coming off three-straight wins in the group stages to enter the knockout round. Despite their impressive run, albeit against some lesser competition, KOO is a +185 dog to KT Rolster Sunday according to Bodog.

During the Tigers winning streak they have held an average final gold total of +15.4K over their opponents and have a combined KDA line of 66/17/136.

For KT Rolster, they will need support Piccaboo to put on a better performance than his last game. The hyper-aggressive support leads the tournament in assists so far, but the last game saw him post his fewest assists of the tournament while dying three times.
