LOOK: Kobe shows up for Duke game, meets Buddy Hield at NCAA tourney

If Oklahoma stud Buddy Hield winds up being an NBA star, we’ll look back on this moment fondly. Kobe Bryant and Hield will never play in the NBA at the same time, what with Bryant retiring in just a few weeks, but what a day this has to be for Hield, right?

Bryant, who has developed a good relationship with Mike Krzyzewski over the years (playing for him in the Olympics and everything), is on hand in Anaheim on Thursday night to watch not just Oklahoma, but Duke. But after Oklahoma and Buddy beat Texas A&M to move on to the Elite Eight, Hield made his way to Kobe’s seats near the court to have a quick chat.

Serious star power. It’s always cool to see the NBA’s most famous make the time to watch the college guys.

Bryant was also seen chatting up with Mickie Krzyzewski, Mike’s wife, prior to the tip. Safe to say he’s rooting for Duke?

The Blue Devils have never won a game when playing in the West Region. Trying to snap that streak tonight. Maybe the Black Mamba can be the good luck charm.
