Despite limping into the playoffs the Lynx start the WNBA postseason as the favorite to win the championship at the online sportsbooks.
The Minnesota Lynx went 4-6 straight up in their final 10 regular season games, but they are opening the postseason at +150 to win the title at 5Dimes.
Close behind the Lynx are the Phoenix Mercury (+275), who have won three of their last four games. However, both the Lynx and the Mercury are in the Western Conference, which means they have a tough road ahead. The key factor could be home games, with the teams combining for a 26-8 record at home and a 16-18 mark when traveling.
In the Eastern Conference, the New York Liberty (+500) and the Chicago Sky (+800) are the third and fourth favored teams to win it all.
New York has had the top defense this season, allowing a mere 71.1 points per game, but are only averaging 74.7 ppg. That means the Liberty are scoring a mere 3.6 more points on average each contest. The Sky have been the top scoring team in the WNBA this season with league MVP Elena Delle Donne leading the league by averaging 23.4 points per game.
The WNBA continues to show little parity with the bottom four teams in the playoffs this season sporting a combined 51.5 percent winning rate.
