MLB finds no evidence that Jarred Cosart bet on baseball


On Wednesday it was revealed the MLB would undergo an investigation into whether Miami Marlins pitcher Jarred Cosart bet on baseball, but the league announced Friday it had enough information to conclude that the right-hander is not guilty of any wrongdoing.

When initially asked by reporters on his rumored gambling ties, Cosart responded by saying “Never have, never will bet on baseball.” League spokesman Pat Courtney confirmed to ESPN last week that, while it is against MLB rules for players to bet on baseball, they can legally wager on other sports.
