NASCAR Odds Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500

[ad_1]

After shaking off the rust at last weekend’s Daytona 500, drivers will be looking to get into a groove at Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 from the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Some familiar names make up the top of the oddsboard with Kevin Harvick leading the way at +500, followed by Jimmie Johnson at +600 and Brad Keselowski +700.

Lots of attention will rightfully be placed upon Daytona 500 winner Kurt Busch, whose odds are +1200 to win in Atlanta. Busch won this race way back in 2002 and had a decent showing in last year’s race, finishing fourth.

Jimmie Johnson has a history of complete dominance in this race. He’s won it the past two years, and also had victories in 2007 and 2004, making him one of four drivers with four wins in the race. Johnson will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 34th-place finish last week that was cut short due to an accident. It should be noted that no driver has ever won this race in three consecutive years.

As for the favorite, Kevin Harvick has never won this race, but he’s been close, finishing second in 2015 and sixth last year. One potential dark horse to keep an eye on is Kasey Kahne at +3300. Kahne won this race in 2014 and 2009 and is coming off a decent showing at the Daytona 500 where he finished seventh.

After an exhilarating end to the Daytona 500, NASCAR drivers will attempt to follow it up with another exciting race in this weekend’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 from the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win the race at online sportsbook Bovada, currently sitting at +450. Harvick finished fourth in the Daytona 500 last weekend, and finished second in this race last year.

2015’s winner, Jimmie Johnson, is third on the odds list at +650. Last year’s victory was Johnson’s third in the race, but the race hasn’t seen back-to-back winners since Bobby Labonte accomplished the feat in 1997.

Denny Hamlin will attempt to carry over the momentum from his photo finish victory at Daytona, as he sits tied for sixth on the odds list at +900. Hamlin won the race in 2012, but finished a disappointing 38th last season. He led for 14 laps in the race, but a crash ended his day early.

At +1000, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will likely see plenty of attention from bettors. Junior finished third in the race last year and will be looking to rebound after a disappointing day at Daytona.
