NBA Finals MVP Odds | Odds – Shark

Conference final action in the NBA is underway, but sportsbooks already have their eyes on the NBA Finals and one prop in particular: the NBA Finals MVP Award.

When it comes to which man is favored to take home the hardware this time around at Bovada, a pair of Golden State Warriors top the list. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are the +200 co-favorites, while LeBron James (+290), Draymond Green (+500), Klay Thompson (+1400), Kyrie Irving (+1600), Kawhi Leonard (+2800), Isaiah Thomas (+4000), Kevin Love (+6600), Avery Bradley (+9000) and LaMarcus Aldridge (+12500) are also available to bet on.

It’s worth noting this prop was released ahead of Game 2 between the Warriors and San Antonio Spurs where the Dubs already possessed a 1-0 series lead after barely scraping by in Game 1 of the Western Conference final. As of this writing, the Cleveland Cavaliers-Boston Celtics Eastern Conference final was waiting to get underway.

James opened as the +170 favorite to win the 2016 NBA Finals MVP Award, but he was -190 ahead of the epic Game 7 which saw Cleveland finish off the dramatic comeback from a 3-1 series deficit. King James was awarded the bragging rights after finishing with 27 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds in Game 7, joining Jerry West and James Worthy as the only players to post a triple-double in the final game of an NBA Finals.

If we know anything about these types of props, it’s that the value diminishes as each game goes on. So if you’re particularly confident in backing a certain player or players, the time to do it is now while you can still get value.
