The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors 96-91 on Tuesday night and now lead the NBA Finals 2-1. LeBron James collected 40 points and was particularly successful behind the arc throughout game 3, especially when he had to close out the game. Dellavedova & Shumpert’s Injury Status
Already suffering from injuries, the Cleveland Cavaliers was faced with more issues. Guard Matthew Dellavedova was hospitalized early Wednesday after suffering from violent cramps, following his spectacular performance in game 3. Dellavedova scored 20 points and played for 38 minutes, allowing the Cavs to win 96-91 on Tuesday night. This victory brought the Cavaliers led the series 2-1, which continues Thursday night in Ohio. The Cavaliers have used Dellavedova as a starter, replacing star player Kyrie Irving, who suffered a fractured kneecap in Game 1.
According to the management of the Cavaliers, Dellavedova received intravenous treatment to Quicken Loans Arena after Tuesday’s game, before being taken by ambulance to a hospital for additional care. A spokesman said that Dellavedova, who walked unaided to the ambulance, suffering from cramps “in many places”. By early afternoon on Wednesday, the team confirmed that Dellavedova had obtained his discharge from hospital after suffering from dehydration. Furthermore, the guard Iman Shumpert has to undergo magnetic resonance imaging after injuring his left shoulder Tuesday.
