After losing in the NBA Finals in six games this spring will the Cleveland Cavaliers make a coaching change for next season? The oddsmakers at online sportsbook Bodog & Bovada have David Blatt favored to keep his job for the 2015/16 campaign.
At Bodog & Bovada Blatt is set as a -300 favorite to be the coach of the Cavaliers for the first game of the 2015/16 season, and as a +200 underdog to no longer be the coach of the team when opening night rolls around in the fall.
The Cavaliers finished second in the Eastern Conference standings this past season, then rolled through their half of the playoff bracket over the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, and Atlanta Hawks in 14 games before falling to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
And Blatt, in his first year as an NBA head coach after getting hired from Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel last summer, seemed to clash with star player LeBron James on the Cavaliers’ bench during the playoffs, leading to speculation that the team would replace their coach.
