NFL Consensus Betting Picks for Week 3


The consensus had it right – in a big way – on Thursday night with its pick of the Atlanta Falcons over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Can Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys ride the same consensus to a win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday afternoon?

The Cowboys vs. Rams matchup on Sunday is currently listed as a pick’em on the NFL Week 3 betting lines at the sportsbooks, and Dallas is the top choice on the NFL Consensus Picks here at VSB. As of Thursday night the Cowboys were the pick of 68% of the betting public.

Dallas fell 28-17 as a 3-point underdog against the 49ers in Week 1, then rebounded with a 26-10 win over the Titans as a 3.5-point underdog in Week 2. The Rams lost 34-6 as a 2.5-point favorite against the Vikings in Week 1 but are coming off a 19-17 win over the Buccaneers as a 4.5-point underdog in Week 2.

As for the totals, the consensus on the Minnesota at New Orleans game is at 65% on the OVER, with the consensus on the Green Bay at Detroit game at 63% on the OVER.
