NFL Playoffs 2016 Team OddsShark Picks

[ad_1]

As part of SuperContest weekend in Las Vegas, OddsShark held a raffle for our players to draw a random futures ticket for the 2016 season. NESN’s Mike Cole drew the Falcons, while Clay Travis from Outkick the Coverage on Fox Radio got the Patriots. Both are back to go through their thoughts on which team will win and cover Super Bowl LI and which one of them expects to cash in on their ticket from August.

Mike’s Pick: PATRIOTS -3

While he’s holding a 60/1 futures ticket for the Falcons, Mike says he’s leaning more toward a Patriots win. And if they win, he expects they will cover. Even though there is a lot going for the Falcons and Matt Ryan, it’s hard to bet against the experience and skill of Tom Brady and the Patriots.

Clay’s Pick: FALCONS +3

With a Patriots ticket worth $640 if New England wins, Clay says he’s covered either way. He already has his money down on the Falcons ATS and says Matt Ryan is too good to bet against. Best case moneywise would be for the Patriots to win but only by 1 or 2, then both Clay’s ATS and futures bets would hit for an extra-nice payday.

Following the 2016 Westgate SuperContest, Mike Cole from NESN and Anthony Riccobono from International Business Times were the runners-up for Team OddsShark. The pair are back to make picks for every round of the NFL playoffs. These picks are based on the Bodog lines from Friday, January 27.

ANTHONY’S PICK: PACKERS AT FALCONS (LINE: FALCONS -4)

After picking against Aaron Rodgers the last two weeks Riccobono says he’s learned his lesson. This will be a tough game to predict for the SU winner but with two strong teams facing off you can expect this will be a close game. The Falcons have also been the best OVER bet in the league this year so watch out for a high total this weekend.

Anthony’s Pick = PACKERS +4

Mike’s Pick: STEELERS AT PATRIOTS (LINE: PATRIOTS -6)

Expecting this to be a great game also means it’s a tough one to pick. With the Patriots at home against a strong Steelers team who are better than the last time these two teams met, Cole says he expects it to be a close one. He says the Pats will likely come away the winner but by more than 6 points? He says no.

Mike’s Pick = STEELERS +6

Editor’s note: Mike Cole and Anthony Riccobono are members of Team OddsShark 2016 and tied for second place at the end of 17 weeks for our team in the Westgate SuperContest. Picking five teams a week (ATS) during the NFL regular season, both finished with 45.5 out of a possible 85 points. Each week during the NFL playoffs, Cole and Riccobono will bring you his picks for the weekend’s playoff action.

ANTHONY’S PICK: SEAHAWKS AT FALCONS (LINE: FALCONS -5)

In a game where we’ll see one of the best all time offenses led by the likely pick for MVP, Matt Ryan, Anthony says it’s easy to take the Falcons this weekend. Considering Seattle is not at their best, he won’t be surprised if the Atlanta wins by 10.

Anthony’s Pick = Falcons -5

Mike’s Pick: PACKERS AT COWBOYS (LINE: COWBOYS -4)

This weekend Mike is backing his favorite team, expecting the Packers to cover the 4 points against the Cowboys this weekend in Dallas. With Aaron Rodgers leading the way for Green Bay and Dak Prescott starting his first playoff game ever this one is an easy pick.

Mike’s Pick = Packers +4

MIKE’S PICK: TEXANS VS. RAIDERS(LINE: TEXANS -4)

With a rookie QB making his first start in the NFL vs. Brock Osweiler and the Texans Mike says he isn’t expecting many points scored. Considering the Raiders have to rely on Connor Cook and Houston is playing well at home this one is an easy pick.

Mike’s Pick = Texans -4

ANTHONY’S PICK: GIANTS AT PACKERS (LINE: PACKERS -5)

Giants are set as underdogs at +5 and Anthony says they should cover that, if not out right win against the Packers at home on Sunday. With the best defense in the NFL on deck for the best Wild Card game of the weekend this should be a fun one to watch.

Anthony’s Pick = Giants +5
