There have been few teams in the NFL sparking debate quite like the Carolina Panthers. Some say they are one of the most overrated teams in football, while another group maintain they are being overlooked. One thing is for certain, the OddsShark Super Computer projects the Panthers to remain undefeated after Week 7 with a 25.8-18.2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Panthers are one of only two undefeated teams left in the NFC, but their opponents have a combined record of 9-20 through the first six weeks of the season. Quarterback Cam Newton has excelled in the fourth quarter with a QBR of 94.1 but has a lowly 37.1 QBR in the first three quarters.
The running game has proven to be vital to the Eagles this season, with the team averaging 154.7 yards on the ground in wins compared to just 52.3 in their losses. Though Philly is coming off an important win over the New York Giants, they turned the ball over four times in that game.
Dan Campbell Era Expected to Come With Wins
The Miami Dolphins picked up a win in their first game under interim head coach Dan Campbell last week and the OddsShark Super Computer is expecting the wins to keep flowing when the ‘Fins host the Houston Texans Sunday. The Super Computer has projected the Dolphins to win a close 25.8-21.6 game over the Texans.
In their first game under Campbell, the Dolphins scored a season high in points while allowing the fewest points in a game on the year. Miami’s defense looked like a different unit with six sacks and two interceptions in Week 6.
After weeks of back-and-forth between quarterbacks, the Texans finally got a good outing from Brian Hoyer last week as the veteran signal caller completed 67 percent of his passes and threw for three touchdowns.
Cardinals Expected to Bounce Back in a Big Way
After starting the season historically good offensively the Arizona Cardinals have come crashing down to earth with two losses in their past three games. Despite some recent struggles, the OddsShark Super Computer is projecting the Cards to demolish the Baltimore Ravens 31.4-16.6.
Turnovers have been one of the biggest issues for the Cardinals in their two losses this season as they have a -6 turnover differential in those games. Comparably, Arizona has a +9 TO differential in their four wins this season.
The Ravens could have a very different record this season if they were able to win close games. All six of the Ravens losses this season have come by six points or fewer.
