Northeastern finished in a four-way tie for first place in the Colonial Athletic Association this season, then, as the three seed, won the conference tournament, knocking off top-seeded William & Mary in the championship game 72-61, earning its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1991. The Huskies are 1-1 both SU and ATS against tournament qualifiers this season, beating Manhattan (the MAAC tournament champion) back in November but losing at Harvard (the Ivy League champ) in December.
