Odds say that Adrian Peterson returns to lead NFL in rushing yards

USA Today Sports

It has been a very long time since Adrian Peterson has been on an NFL field. Despite AP not playing since Week 1 of last season, he is currently the 9/2 favorite to win the NFL rushing title next season.

Though Peterson is undoubtedly one of the best running backs in the world, he has only ended up in the top five in rushing twice in the past five seasons. In that same five season span, AP has only once played in all 16 games in a season.

Below is a complete list of odds for NFL rushing leaders per William Hill U.S.:

Adrian Peterson 9/2
DeMarco Murray 6/1
LeSean McCoy 8/1
Arian Foster 8/1
Jamaal Charles 8/1
