The Philadelphia Eagles shocked the entire league last year with backup quarterback Nick Foles; After Micheal Vicks hamstring injury in last year’s week 5, Chip Kelly gave enough confidence to his backup QB Nick Foles to lead his team. As a result, the young QB had epic performances, replace Micheal Vick and lead the Eagles to the playoffs. Although the team struggled with injuries, they manage to enter the playoffs through the wild card round. The eagles also did good with the Mark Sanchez acquisition to back up Foles. Also, watch out for the eagles running game this year as they acquired Darren Sproles with the addition of Lashawn McCoy of course; it will be exciting to see how Chip Kelly will use these two face-pace running backs. The biggest surprise the Eagles offensive was faced with this year was the departure of DeSean Jackson. Now with Jason Avant being gone as well, Jeremy Maclin, Riley Cooper and Jordans Matthews will be the starting receivers for their offense. It will be interesting to see how they will adjust this year: especially with Riley Cooper who seemed to fit in just right last year with Chip Kelly’s offense. As for their defense, well they acquired Safety Malcom Jenkins from the New Orleans Saints during free agency signings. Although their defensive depth chart seems weak, Jenkins will most definitely give the team good protection out deep.
