Pitt transfer Josh Newkirk has committed to Indiana, his father told CBS Sports on Sunday.

The 6-foot-1 guard will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season per NCAA rules.

Newkirk averaged 5.9 points last season and gives the Hoosiers a veteran point guard ready to step in when Yogi Ferrell graduates next May.

Indiana lost to Wichita State in the Round of 64.
