several big games from some star players, which produced some
big moves on Heisman futures odds.
It all started Thursday with UCLA’s Brett Hundley putting up
some huge numbers against Arizona State in the Bruins’ 62-27
romp. Hundley went 18-of-23 for 355 yards and four touchdowns
through the air, and ran for 72 yards and one TD. Hundley
moved from 25-1 to 12-1.
Nebraska’s Ameer Abdullah had his third 200-yard rushing game
as he put 208 yards on 22 carries and three touchdowns
against Illinois. The senior entered the week 18-1, but the
performance moves him to 8-1.
Texas A&M’s latest quarterback-sensation Kenny Hill went
from 13-2 to 5-1 after he continued to put up huge numbers.
Hill threw for 386 yards and four touchdowns in the Aggies’
35-28 win over Arkansas.
