It will be a little bit of deja vu when the Central Michigan Chippewas and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers clash in the first ever Bahamas Bowl at Thomas Robinson Stadium. Both the Chippewas and the Hilltoppers were shut out of the bowl season a year ago, so the last time either team was in a bowl game was when they met up in the 2012 Little Caesar’s Pizza Bowl.
In that matchup two years ago Central Michigan came out on top by a score of 24-21, but they failed to cover the 6.5-point spread. In the rematch the Hilltoppers are listed as the betting favorite at the sportsbooks.

Bahamas Bowl Betting Trends: Rematch of 2012 Little Caesar’s Pizza Bowl won 24-21 by Central Michigan . . . Central Michigan 3-1-1 ATS in bowls since 1995.
The Chippewas finished off the regular season on a losing note, falling to Western Michigan 32-20 as a 1-point favorite. The loss snapped Central Michigan’s three-game winning streak and dropped their record when favored to 3-4 ATS. As the underdog this season the Chippewas were 2-3 both SU and ATS. Playing away from home must agree with the Chippewas, as they have won three straight road games and sport an 8-2 ATS mark in their last 10 away from home.
The Hilltoppers heated up down the stretch, winning four straight to close out the regular season. That included a shocking 67-66 win over Marshall in their season finale as a 23.5-point underdog. Kentucky made good when favored this season at 4-2 ATS, which included winning their last four in a row as chalk.
