Providence coach Ed Cooley left Saturday’s game at Xavier because of an unspecified condition and was transported to a local hospital, according to the Providence Journal.

The paper reported Cooley was complaining of breathing and stomach issues.

Providence ultimately lost the game 78-69.

The Friars are now 17-7 overall, 7-4 in the Big East.
