Public on Cats, but sharps coming in on Georgia

USA Today Sports

The University of Kentucky Wildcats put their unblemished record on the line against the Georgia Bulldogs Tuesday evening and are currently tabbed as 18-point favorites.

Perhaps predictably, the bulk of the action is backing the No. 1 squad in the Nation but, according to online sports book, sharps are beginning to have their say.

“We are seeing 73 percent of all Point Spread wagers being placed on the undefeated Wildcats,” Brad Kennedy of TopBet tells Covers. “Public is heavy on the Wildcats but we are beginning to see some sharp action coming in on Georgia. “The current line is UK -18.5 and it has been bouncing back and forth between -18 and -18.5.”

As far as the total is concerned, bettors are backing the Over, which may be smart considering the ‘Cats are riding back-to-back games that cashed Over tickets.

“We are seeing 67 percent of the total action being placed on the over,” Kennedy tells Covers. “Total opened at 124 and we have adjusted it once to the current line of 125.”
